Signs for businesses posted on utility poles and in the "right of way" are illegal in Philadelphia under the city's bandit sign laws.
They are subject to a $300 fine - per sign.
Illegally posted signs not only pollute our landscapes and vistas, ruining property values and natural habitats, they also rob the many local institutions of much needed ad revenue and attention.
